When I went to school, you did not hear that much about bullying, although i know that it did most like;y appear now and then. We had strict teachers, principles who had rules that students lived by while under their authority. There was corporal punishment, and it was properly used when necessary, and I know of no one abused or mentally hurt by this method. Teachers used rulers, very appropriate, and detention when needed. Some even sat you at the front of the class with a dunce hat on, which made you feel embarrassed usually to the point you never wanted to sit like that again. Of course you had the class clown, who loved it, and the know it all who needed extra attention, Then somehow these were striped from the schools, why I do not know, but I will look into it and do a blog on it. Personally I would love to see those days come back, with rules that teacherss and Principles had to follow at their desecration. That is where I believe students have lost respect for the education system and those that teach.
