C-SPAN regrets to announce the passing of 17-year employee Eloise Collingwood of Annapolis, who joined the network in 1993 and served until just recently.  In January 1995, when C-SPAN launched Washington Journal, its morning interview/call-in program, Ms. Collingwood joined its editorial team and spent the next 16 years as a guest booker and producer.
Ms. Collingwood, 53, a 1980 graduate of St. John’s College, Annapolis, MD, died Sunday after a brief illness.  A niece of famed CBS newsman Charles Collingwood, Collingwood’s career was also devoted to journalism and national issues.
The family plans a summer memorial service in New Hampshire.
