The Politics of Voter Suppression

The onslaught against voter rights is in full swing throughout the country. State after state has introduced or passed prohibitive laws that manipulate election results by limiting participation of those most likely to vote for the opposition. How can this be? And what can be done about it?

You are invited to hear what a nonpartisan panel of leading scholars, journalists, policymakers,
and activists has to say about the current and future state of our election process at an event
co-hosted by The Century Foundation and Demos, to mark the publication of The Politics of
Voter Suppression by Tova Andrea Wang (A Century Foundation Book published by Cornell
University Press).

The panel discussion brings together some of the nation’s most articulate voices on this critical
issue.
