New Orleans, La. – An uprooted tree lies

before resuming a slow trek inland, and forecasters said that was in
keeping with the its erratic history. The slow motion over land means it

home already was in need of repair when it collapsed during heavy winds
from Isaac. "My wife and I just bought it to renovate about 30 days
ago," he said.
