At least 21 people were shot, three fatally, across the city Friday night and Saturday morning.
Before 1 a.m., 3 people were shot just east of Austin Boulevard on Lake Street in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side. A 19-year-old man was killed, a 20-year-old was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital  of Cook County  and a 29-year-old was taken to Loyola Hospital in Maywood. Both survivors were taken to the hospital in serious-to-critical condition, police said. The younger man is now in fair condition, police said.
One of the three intervened in a domestic dispute involving the shooter, who left the scene and came back with a gun. He opened fire, killing the 19-year-old. A spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office identified him as Akil Partee and said he lived a door over from where he was shot.
A man whose age wasn't available was shot and killed about 6 a.m. in the 4500 block of South Wood Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the West Side, police said. Additional details about the shooting weren't available.
About 1:45 a.m., a 41-year-old man was shot in the 4200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. Pablo Hernandez, of the 3500 block of South 60th Avenue in Cicero, was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 3:37 a.m., a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
A person was shot about 3:25 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Lawndale Avenue and another person was shot in the 1600 block of North Drake Avenue about 2:45 a.m., police said. Additional information about those shootings, which occured about 2 miles apart in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side, weren't available.
A 31-year-old man was shot multiple times in the back and is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital, police said. He was shot at 2:48 a.m. during an argument with another male in the 6300 block of South Wolcott Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
A 21-year-old man was shot about the same time in the 900 block of North Latrobe Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side. He sustained multiple wounds to his body and is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. He was arguing with "unknown males," at least one of whom pulled a gun and opened fire, police said.
About 10 minutes earlier, a 39-year-old man was shot in the buttocks in the 1100 block of West 104th Place in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side. He was leaving a party when he "heard shots and felt pain," police said. He's in stable condition at Metro South Hospital.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the arm about 2:22 a.m. in the 8100 block of South Drexel Avenue in the East Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, police said. He's in stable condition at Stroger Hospital. He was outside when someone shot him but it's not clear why.
About 2 a.m. a 39-year-old "sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body" and is in serious condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. Someone approached him on foot while he was standing in the 4900 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side and shot him, then fled the scene, police said.
About 12:45 a.m., a 22-year-old was shot by two males who approached him on foot and fired at him, hitting him in the side, police said. He was taken from the scene, in the 2900 block of East 85th Street in the South Chicago neighborhood on the South Side, to Advocate Christ Medical Center. 
Another man, 24, was shot about the same time in the 300 block of North Central Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood on the West
Side, police said. He was shot in the hand and leg and is in fair condition at West Suburban Hospital, police said. Police said the man was too intoxicated to give investigators information about what happened.
A 26-year-old man was shot in the face and is in critical condition at Stroger Hospital, police said. He was on a porch in the 5700 block of South Sangamon Street in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side about 12:35 a.m. when two males approached on foot and shot him, police said.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the mouth while he sat in the passenger side of a vehicle about 12:25 a.m. at California Avenue and Division Street in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said. He's in stable condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. Someone got into the driver's side of the vehicle and shot him when he tried to flee. The shooter took the car but it was later recovered by police a short distance later, though the shooter was not there.
A 15-year-old was grazed by a bullet as he walked about 12:16 a.m. in the 12800 block of South Peoria Street in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said. He's in good condition at Metro South Hospital. Someone inside a passing vehicle shot at him, police said.
An 18-year-old shot in the back told police he was standing in the 6400 block of South Kenwood Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side when he heard gunshots and felt pain about 11:25 p.m. He's in stable condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
A 47-year-old playing dice was shot when the other two participants in the game started arguing, police said. He wasn't involved in the dispute, which happened about 11:30 p.m. The man was shot in Douglas Park, near Roosevelt Road and California Avenue, and walked into Mount Sinai Hospital a few blocks south, police said. He's in guarded condition.
A 52-year-old woman was shot in the 8000 block of South Stewart Avenue in the West Chatham neighborhood about 8:40 p.m., police said. She's in serious condition at St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said. An "unknown male offender" approached her and fired toward her, striking her in the leg.
About the same time, a 39-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting in the city's Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. The shooting happened on the 6100 block of South Throop Street, said police News Affairs Officer Dan O'Brien. She was shot in the wrist and taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center. She heard shots and felt pain, police said.
