Soldiers laid to rest in Yemen
Yemeni soldiers carry coffins in a procession Wednesday during a funeral
for the scores of soldiers killed in Monday’s suicide bombing in Sanaa,
the capital. A man with explosives strapped under his army uniform
killed 100 people when he blew himself up during a military parade
rehearsal. The plot by al-qaeda’s Yemen branch narrowly missed killing
the defense minister and was the country’s worst terrorist attack in
years.
