After a projected landslide win in the Kansas caucuses, Rick Santorum gave a speech in Springfield, Missouri. He told supporters that the GOP has to elect a nominee who draws a “clear contrast” to President Obama.
Santorum also said that with the upturn in the economy, we don’t know what the big issue is going to be in this election. He went on to criticize the president for his stance on Israel and Iran, saying he’s “turned his back” on Israel.
The GOP candidate continued, “I may not have been a Wall Street private equity fund manager, but I served eight years on the Armed Services Committee. I led the charge identifying Iran’s nuclear program nine years ago, authored bills to put sanctions to stop it. We’re not electing a CEO; we’re electing a commander in chief.”
