Does the president’s budget take the right steps toward addressing the federal deficit?

Yes. The budget shows that the White House has the right priorities because it cuts redundant domestic programs and trims defense spending while making investments in programs that help to grow the economy like education and energy.
No. The president doesn’t do nearly enough to curb entitlement spending, which shows that this budget isn’t a serious attempt to address the nation’s debt in the long run.
No. There should be deeper cuts in defense spending.
I’m not sure. Spending should be reduced in the long run but I don’t know if now is the best time to slash programs that could help people suffering from the recession.
