How politicians should respond when they're the punchline

  -
"I think it's hilarious." That's what Vice President Joe Biden told Yahoo! News in a recent interview when asked about the fake news parodies that have created tons of online traffic forThe Onion. Parodies which have included the VP getting banned for life from Dave & Busters for destroying a Whac-a-mole game, showing his tattooed arms while washing his Trans-Am on the White House driveway, showing up to President Obama's inauguration with a ponytail (see below)...

... and my personal favorite, this fake report about the Vice President taking a second job as the spokesman for Hennessy Cognac.

With a smile on his face, Biden went on to correct one thing The Onion got wrong telling the interviewer, "I saw the one of me washing a Trans-Am automobile in the driveway shirtless with tattoos all over myself and out there, by the way, I have a Corvette - a '67 Corvette, not a Trans-Am."
Sarah Palin Some thin-skinned politicians should learn from the Vice President's ability to laugh at himself... particularly when it comes to jokes as funny as these. Oh, and also able to take a joke from The Onion? The crew of NBC's TODAY Show.
