In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Cmte., Defense Sec. Robert Gates and Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, outlined Pentagon efforts to repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Pres. Obama called for the repeal in his State of the Union Address last week. Earlier today, Sec. Gates and Adm. Mullen faced questions on the proposed FY2011 budget, military defense planning and missile defense.
